ALL STAR PREP

Our facility has grown and we are now able to offer full-year All-Star Prep Teams! Prep teams are great for our beginner athletes, as well as athletes who would prefer less of a practice/financial commitment. Prep teams will learn a two-minute choreographed routine designed to showcase jumps, tumbling, and stunting. Teams will travel to 6 competitions throughout South Dakota and the surrounding States. Athletes will practice two days per week for an hour and a half. The competitive Season runs November-April with practices happening year around.

Teams are formed by a combination of similar age and skill level. Much like other sports, a variety of skills, abilities, and athleticism are necessary to give each team the best opportunity to succeed in the gym and at competitions. Some factors the coaching staff consider when placing athletes on a team are maturity, coach-ability, stunting position, jump/motion technique, and danceability. With these in mind, the coaching staff will place athletes on the most appropriate team for them to excel. The placement of athletes with their unique strengths allows the coaching staff to build a well-rounded team. The age and skill requirements for All-Star Elite are listed below.

HALF YEAR FAQ

Half-year cheer is perfect for the beginner or those interested in joining a competitive cheer team with less of a commitment than our full-year teams. Fewer competitions and limited weekly practices allow athletes to be competitive, but with a much lower financial commitment. Athletes will learn a two-minute choreographed routine showcasing jumps, stunting, tumbling, and dancing. Half-year teams will travel to three competitions within South Dakota and compete against other teams at their age level. Routines are judged by the level of difficulty, precision, creativity, and technique. Half-year teams will also show off their skills at one local performance. Athletes will practice for one hour, two days per week. Their competitive season will run January-March with practice beginning in November. It is suggested that you be enrolled in a recreational cheer or tumbling class prior to placements, but by no means required!

Tryouts for the 2023-2024 season will be held in October of 2023.. Teams are formed by a combination of similar age and skill level. Much like other sports, a variety of skills, abilities, and athleticism are necessary to give each team the best opportunity to succeed in the gym and at competitions. Some factors the coaching staff consider when placing athletes on a team are maturity, coachability, stunting position, jump/motion technique, and danceability. With these in mind, the coaching staff will place athletes on the most appropriate team for them to excel.
